One of Melrose’s strongest features is without doubt its location, with exquisite view of an enormous garden lying in 4,000 square meters. Right opposite the main entrance of Melrose Hotel you can find the Venetian archdiocese and in its centre there is a small temple of the 16th-17th century. In the churchyard there are a lot of archaeological findings on display which have been discovered during recent excavations. Not only is Melrose Hotel on the borders of Skopelos' mainland but it is also in close proximity (just 800m) to the central port, the taxi and bus station from where you can go to the most popular beaches of the island like Stafilos, Agnontas, Panormos, Kastani and other. |
